Q: Do I have to be an SMU student or young alumni?
A: No. Although a majority of our employees are, we welcome all local college students and young alumni to apply. We also welcome those who are home in Dallas for the summer to be a part of our team.
Q: How do I pay?
A: All students operate as independent contractors. The employer pays HireAStang by cash or check. We hope to have credit card capabilities up and running soon. All invoices are sent within 48 hours of completion of the service. All invoices are expected to be paid within ten business days of the invoice date.
Q: How do I get paid?
A: All students operate as independent contractors and will be paid by HireAStang. Within 48 hours of completion of the service, students will be mailed a check directly to the address on file. If the student needs the check immediately, they may have the option to pick it up from the offices of Oh!Five Partners, LLC.
Q: How do I find out about jobs?
A: Our staff is dedicated to matching the right candidates with the right jobs, therefore we only contact you when an appropriate opportunity becomes available. If we are unable to match a job with an employee immediately, we will post the opportunity on the HireAStang Jobs Board (coming soon) and our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/HireAStang) or send out an email to the database.
Q: Will other people ever receive my contact information?
A: Your personal information will never be posted to HireAStang.com or any other website. Once we find a job match, we will coordinate the details and exchange appropriate contact information.
Q: I Need a Stang, but I'm confused about the placement fee and service charge. How do they work?
A: For each "match" we make for you, there is a one-time $25 placement fee. Your first invoice for a specific job (i.e. tutoring from Betsy H.) will include that fee plus a 15% service charge that is based solely on the job cost. Your next invoice for the same job will only include the job cost and service charge. These fees allow us to perform reference checks, coordinate schedules and conduct interviews among other administrative tasks. We're committed to taking the time to make the best match possible for both the client and the employee.

Q: Is there a dress code?
A: All employees are expected to present themselves in a clean and appropriate manner. Some services such as valet parking or bartending may require a specific uniform (i.e. official HireAStang polo shirt).
